PaxScan Products at a Glance

The PaxScan® 1313 interfacing to this new panel is a simple task through the industry standard CameraLink port.

The high resolution receptor combined with a software-based command processor capable of 30 frames per second makes this an ideal imager for microfocus X-ray applications. Computer tomography (CT) applications also benefit from the high dynamic range and uniform image quality across a wide X-ray range.

The PaxScan® 2020 has been specifically designed to meet or exceed the unique imaging requirements for next generation cardio-vascular diagnostic imaging equipment and mobile C-arms. The high sensitivity of the CsI scintillator combined with proprietary noise management techniques allows for excellent low-dose imaging performance that surpasses image intensifier tube (IIT) devices. Other features include an optimal 2 cm border between the active matrix and the edge of the receptor, further optimization of the pixel architecture, and an improved Command Processor with extended mode memory and faster clock speed.

PaxScan® 2520V
An advanced 25 x 20 cm (10 x 8 inch) digital imaging subsystem, incorporating a flat panel amorphous silicon sensor array, a software implementation of the command processor used with the former PaxScan 2520, power supply, and all interconnecting cables. The high-speed electronics of the PaxScan 2520V accommodate image acquisition rates up to 30 frames per second. All components are designed to provide maximum reliability. Varian ViVA® user application software included.

PaxScan® 2520V Configuration
The standard array in the PaxScan 2520V imaging subsystem includes a Gadolinium Oxysulfide scintillator. This configuration provides excellent sensitivity and image quality for many basic applications. When your application requires very high sensitivity, the PaxScan 2520V can be configured with an optional Cesium Iodide scintillator screen ideal for micro-focus x-ray sources or low-dose conditions in general.

The PaxScan® 3030 is our dedicated field-of-view (FOV) real-time flat panel detector (FPD) for diagnostic systems specializing in lower G.I. studies. The main system components are the 30 x 30cm 194µm-pixel amorphous silicon FPD, real-time image processor (Command Processor), and universal dual-output power supply. Excellent low-dose performance is achieved by combining Varian's proprietary readout electronics with the high sensitivity of a custom Cesium Iodide scintillator. This FPD makes an ideal replacement for 12" I.I. Tubes, particularly for remote R&F table-based.

The PaxScan® 4030CB is specifically designed to meet the needs of Cone Beam X-ray imaging applications featuring multiple sensitivity ranges and extended dynamic range modes.  The main System components are the 40 x 30cm 194µm-pixel amorphous silicon FPD, real-time image processor (Command Processor), and universal dual-output power supply.  Excellent low-dose performance is achieved by combining Varian's proprietary readout electronics with the high sensitivity of a customer Cesium Iodide scintillator.
